In this paper, we constructed a voice-activated system that is shaped for interactive virtual experiment teaching laboratories. The work features simple natural language processing and human-computer interaction to leverage computer programming and laboratory electronics to provide an accessible virtual laboratory for students.

We investigated a closed-loop automated system for continuous solubility screening. We developed a computer vision algorithm to quantify the turbidity of the solution and use additive liquid dispense to find the solubility without human intervention.

We developed an autonomous reaction platform that can carry out a one-pot, multi-step reaction. My work in this project is to develop an algorithm that can accurately characterize the endpoint of a reaction based on raw data given by analytical equipment like HPLC and IR.

We modelled the torques of robotic arm’s joint using linear and support vector regression with scikit-learn. These models enable a robotic arm with torque sensors to predict the weight of a held object.
